This post shows you paper goods storage ideas on a budget.

Easy Paper Good Storage Ideas On A Budget

Here is exactly how to organize paper plates and cups:

1. Choose A basket To Organize Paper Goods

When organizing your paper goods, the first thing to do is choose a suitable basket. As you can see in the image above, this basket is large enough to fit paper plates, napkins, cups, and even the forks and spoons. If you need more space, you can opt to use a second basket.

I used a basket I’ve had for years and was not using, so I repurposed it for this, and it worked perfectly. I got this one from The Dolla Tree a while back, but you can find similar ones at Target and The Container Store. I’ll link the options below to make it easier for you.

Basket Organizers:

2. Use Smaller Organizers Inside The Basket

To keep things more organized, add smaller organizers inside the larger basket. For example, I added these cups (from IKEA) to keep forks and spoons from rolling around in the basket. You can take it even further and add other sized containers to separate plates by size, etc. But personally, I didn’t see the need, as they hold up fine without additional containers.

I used these cups I had bought a while ago and was not using, and they worked great here, as they save me space having the spoons and forks standing and saving horizontal space. And they are white so they match the basket. I have linked similar items below in case you decide to recreate a similar look.

Utensil Organizers:

3. Dedicate a Designated Storage Space For Paper Goods

Choose a designated space for your paper goods basket. Ideally, you want to store it where it’s easy to access. Whether you use it daily or for entertaining, you want it to be easily accessible for all. For example, I’ve put it inside one of our lower cabinets, and I put extras behind the basket. That way, I can easily restock the basket as needed.

4. Create A similar Basket For Party Goods

If you have any leftover party-themed paper goods, consider creating a separate basket using the same concept. This way, you’ll have all your party paper goods in one area, preventing them from getting lost and forgotten. Not only will this ensure you use up all your leftover party-themed paper goods, but it will also help you avoid overbuying, saving you some cash!

And there you have it! Hope you found these paper goods storage ideas helpful! What I love most about this paper goods storage idea is that it is portable. I can quickly bring out the basket during gatherings and refill it as needed. When the gathering is over, I store it inside the cabinet.
