How To Organize Christmas Shopping List
There are obviously many ways you can organize your Christmas list, but if you would like to keep it separate by groups of people, you can use a separate page per group. For example, one page for kids, one for adults, one for friends, etc.
Or you can also do what I do! I color code with highlighters and use one list. For example, I first add all the kids to the list, highlight their names in one color, then do the same for adults, etc.

How Can I Make My Own Christmas List
There are many ways you can make your own Christmas list. You can use a good ole pen and paper, make a list on your phone, or create a printable online similar to the one I shared above. And those are just a few ideas! There are many other ways and methods to make your own Christmas list. However, I’ll share the two ways I make mine below.
- If you prefer a paperless Christmas list, you can make your own on the Notes app on your phone (if you have an iPhone). Whether it’s a Christmas shopping list or whatever type of Christmas list you need, you can easily create it on the app and customize it to your liking. Below, I share a video that shows you how to use the Notes app to make lists, just in case you don’t know how.
- If you prefer a printable version like our Christmas shopping list printable but want to make your own, you can use Canva. It’s free and has so many great templates to pick from. And you can customize it to your liking. So definitely check the app out if you want to make your own printable Christmas list.

Where Can I Make a Shareable Christmas List
Do you prefer the paperless route for your Christmas gift shopping list and need a shareable option, too?
You can make a shareable Christmas list on the note section of your iPhone. It is simple to make any customized Christmas list there. And you don’t need to download anything new or have anyone else download anything since most people already have the Notes app on their iPhones. So it’ll be super easy to share with them.
If you aren’t familiar with creating or sharing lists on the Notes app or don’t know how to use it, here is a great YouTube video you can reference with many great tips.
Below is how I create my Christmas shopping list on the Notes app:
As shown in the images below, I create a list with the same categories as the Christmas shopping list printable.
In the example above, I show the kids’ example list. And here is what I add for each:
- Total budget
- Total spent
- Name
- Gift Idea (you can include product links, photos, or images to make shopping easier)
- Budget
- Spent
- Purchased
- Wrapped
For my kids, I create the same type of list, except I keep that list separate from my family and friends list. I also share it with them before shopping so they can create their Christmas list and add all the links or store names to make it easier to find the items they would like for Christmas. Once they add all their options, I stop sharing the list so they can’t be sneaky and try to see what they are getting, haha!
And there you have it! I hope you found this post helpful and that it helps you get and stay organized with your shopping this year. Happy shopping!
